Comparing this to other 2B wood-cased pencils by Mitsu-Bishi, I find that the wood used in the 9000 does not sharpen as cleanly as the others, resulting in a kind of 'fuzzy' tip that I don't like as well. This is using a standard crank-handle, burr-style sharpener.
